AEO is excited to bring our 2018 National Microbusiness Conference: Moving Main Street Forward to Detroit, Michigan, April 30 to May 2. This is the premier microbusiness and microfinance conference in the U.S., and a must-attend event for professionals providing capital, technical assistance and other forms of trusted guidance to Main Street and microbusiness owners.
More than 600 executives, decision-makers, microfinance practitioners, advocates, policymakers, small business advisors, educators, funders, investors, fintech influentials and entrepreneurs from across the nation will gather in Detroit to share, network and collaborate on ways we can move Main Street forward through inclusion, innovation and investment.
We’ll be kicking off Moving Main Street Forward by taking it to the streets — literally! Join in and celebrate Detroit’s burgeoning small business evolution by touring a neighborhood Main Street that is undergoing significant transformation. Participants will have the opportunity to interact with small business owners, city residents, local officials and entrepreneurial ecosystem builders as they reflect on gentrification, progress on investment taking place in their city and whatever else might be on their minds. We’ll make sure you get lunch!
Moving Main Street Forward will bring together thought leaders and experts from multiple sectors across the microbusiness ecosystem to engage, inform and inspire attendees. Invited speakers include Nobel Laureate and Grameen Bank Founder Muhammad Yunus, W.K. Kellogg Foundation President and CEO La June Montgomery Tabron, Grameen America President and CEO Andrea Jung, CDFI Fund Director Annie Donovan and more. Stay tuned for updates!
