APS-CCP 2018

2018 Australian Society of Psychology (APS) College of Clinical Psychologists Conference

Fri, 27 Apr 2018 – Sun, 29 Apr 2018

Theme: Advances in Evidence-based Therapies Conference Chair's Welcome Welcome to the Clinical Conference 2018, with a fabulous line up of world class Keynotes and an exciting array of advanced workshops. Professor David Edwards from South Africa is current President of the International Society for Schema Therapy and will speak on recent advances in Schema Therapy, Dr Scott Miller from the USA will expand on the importance and value of client directed therapy and Australia's own Dr Louise Hayes will present on the topic of adolescents and mindfulness. The goal of Adelaide 2018 is not to feed you more fundamentals that you've probably heard a dozen times or more. We want to expand your thinking, challenge your practical skills and satisfy even the most experienced clinicians. Between sessions, rub shoulders with the speakers, and over a coffee or glass of wine ask them that tricky question you have been wondering about for ages, or just get to know them. These kinds of opportunities are rare so grab them while you can. Adelaide is renowned for great food and excellent wine. The centrally located Adelaide Hilton is on doorstep of a thriving Chinatown and the best city-centre produce market in Australia. At the Conference Dinner, see another side of your peers and colleagues; talk, laugh and dance the night away at the exotic Adelaide Zoo. We'll be delighted to see you at the Clinical Conference 2018. Your presence will help make it a great event.
