The 47th IUPAC World Chemistry Congress will take place from 7-12 July 2019 under the theme “Frontiers in Chemistry: Let’s create out Future! 100 years with IUPAC.”
On the occasion of this exceptional Centenary Congress and to emphasize the universality of IUPAC, the Congress is especially committed not only to welcome chemists from everywhere in the world but also to encourage the participation of scientists from both industry and academia contributing jointly to the regular symposia.
The International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) is the world authority on chemical nomenclature, terminology (including the naming of new elements in the periodic table), standardized methods for measurement, atomic weights and many other critically-evaluated data. It develops and maintains Recommendations that create a common language for the global chemistry community. The scientific work of IUPAC is conducted largely through a formal Project System in which proposals from chemists around the world are peer-reviewed and, if meritorious, are approved and supported.
