The next conference will be in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia October 1-3 2020, and will be organised by the Bergen Centre for Ethics and Priority Setting and the Addis Ababa Centre for Ethics and Priority Setting
Who and what should receive priority, and how should we decide? While resources available, political situations and contexts are diverse, all countries face priority setting challenges. Decision makers and researchers are confronted with choices concerning use and restrictions on new technology, the limits of universal health coverage and other dilemmas in health planning and priority setting. Some of these challenges can only be handled through cross-national commitments and collaboration, while others are context-specific, yet can be of translational value for others. The 2020 International Society on Priorities in Health Care (ISPH) conference aims to respond to the pressing need of ethics, economics and policy research on these challenges.
