The Japan Society of Applied Physics (JSAP) was founded as a voluntary forum of researchers for applied physics in 1930 and became an incorporated association in 1946 and a public interest incorporated association in 2011. Along with the changing times, the academic fields covered by the JSAP have expanded and its borders have been constantly changing. I believe that the role of the JSAP is to contribute to both industry and society beyond the borders of various academic fields based on physics.
The Japan Society of Applied Physics (JSAP) holds two annual technical meetings in the spring and autumn. The spring meeting held in the Tokyo area usually has about 7,000 participants, while the autumn meeting held in other parts of Japan has approximately 6,000 participants, with nearly 4,000 papers being presented. In addition to contributed presentations (oral and poster) in 14 predetermined categories and joint sessions, we also have invited presentations in symposia on specific theme.
