2018 Law and Development Conference

Fri, 06 Jul 2018 – Fri, 06 Jul 2018

Law and development studies are at an important juncture. Although scholarship in law and development, which explores the relationship between law and social and economic progress, has evolved over the last four decades, this area of inquiry remains unfamiliar to many legal scholars, lawyers, and policy makers. Scholars have not yet been able to establish law and development as a robust and coherent academic field by developing a theory that systematically explains the interrelationship between law and development. This conference will explore possibilities for new breakthrough by examining current studies and considering new approaches on the following sub-topics:

Theoretical Frameworks for Law and Development)

Law Reform/The Rule of Law Projects – Are They Effective for Development?

Ÿ      Feasibility of the Analytical Law and Development Model (ADM, see
